Here’s what the Chevy Blazer has in store for you this year.
What’s New For The 2022 Chevy Blazer
Sold in LT, RS, and the Premier model, Chevy removed two of last year’s bottom trims for the 2022 Blazer. With only 3 trims available, each model is now well-equipped with standard features and upgrades. The once optional turbo 2.0L 4-cylinder engine is now standard across all models, AWD comes with the Trailering Package (optional on FWD), two new metallic hues ‘Nitro Yellow’ and ‘Blue Glow’. The Premier’s luxury features are now optional, making the top trim of this vehicle even more affordable and becoming a top contender in the saturated SUV market.
Engine and Performance
With the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo as the new base engine, the 2022 Chevy Blazer improves its power and performance on the road, boasting 230 hp, 258 lb-ft of torque, and 1,500 lb towing capacity.
The RS trim level comes with a 3.6L V6 engine, available on the 3LT and Premier for an additional $500, giving the Blazer 308 hp, 270 lb-ft of torque, and 4,500 lb towing capacity.
FWD is standard across all models with an available AWD and both engines have a 9-speed automatic transmission. With impressive acceleration, smooth handling, and accurate steering, the Chevy Blazer is known for its incredible driving experience.
To add to the first-rate performance is the Driver Mode Selector that allows you to adjust the driving style on different road surfaces, including available tow/haul, available off-road, and sport for an enhanced boost.

The Blazer achieves an upgraded EPA rating for 2022 with the following:

Interior
The interior of the 2022 Blazer is inspired by the classic Chevy Camaro, giving it a sporty, sleek, and powerful feel. Like the Camarao, the Blazer features round air vents below the center stack and a seamless dash. Chevy offers heated and ventilated front seats and heated rear seats, ambient lighting, and soft-touch materials. You can expect leather surfaces on top trim levels with an added touch of luxury. Chevy did not skimp out on the details this year, and it pays off tremendously.
